This is a wrecked gearset that failed shortly after a service pause, that required a full geometric evaluation to engineer, and was resolved by producing new, hardened & ground gears made from current material standards.

This shaft snapped due to surface conditions that helped initiate a fatigue crack. We "re-engineered" the design to produce a larger (and much smoother) shaft radius to provide a stronger transition between the different shaft sizes.

We can determine gear failure based on the wear characteristics of the gears in service. Often, lubrication problems can lead to bigger issues, and just changing the bearings during an inspection can greatly extend the life of your equipment.
